Cody's Original Roadhouse - Port Charlotte: Delicious Steaks & Legendary Service

Our server Pulkit was outstanding. He knew what we wanted like (to go cups, extra napkins, refills, etc. )before we even asked for it. Their 1 pound burger is to die for. Cooked to order and very juicy. The onion rings are a favorite. We’ve been here before and always the same great results.

Server Sheryl was very friendly and consistent with her service. Came by to check on the quality of my food which was delicious. I was told by a coworker to try out the place and really did enjoy it. I will recommend Cody’s to others

We have started going to Cody’s again on a regular basis. Couldn’t be more pleased with selections, specials, and service. 2 for 1’s every day till 7p and all day “at the bar.” My husband loves the chicken fried chicken and I like the chicken quesadillas. Delish! Can’t beat the endless salad and the rolls with cinnamon butter to boot. Brenda was our server. Great job. I have also enjoyed the garlic shrimps and today we tried the buffalo shrimps appetizer. Loved it. See you soon. Edit to add: Brenda (server/bar) and Gee (bar) take good care of us each time. Cody’s Original Roadhouse Port Charlotte This place is in Port Charlotte Town Center Mall. It looks cool from the outside and even cooler on the inside. We got there on a Thursday night about 5ish. This place was hopping with a lot of people. It was neat and clean, and I loved the interior decorations. Our waitress Brenda was on the ball with our drink, our food orders, and any questions we had because of our first time there. I got a beer, and my wife got a Pina Colada, both were cold and very good. I ordered the 1lb Prime Rib med well with a side of Mashed Potatoes. My wife ordered the Filet Mignon wrapped in Bacon with a side of Baked Sweet Potato in Cinnamon Butter. For an appetizer I ordered the half stick of Jumbo Onions on a stick. Brenda stated she would bring out warm Rolls with Cinnamon Butter and a bowl of Salad that she would mix for the both of us right at the table. Our Onion Rings were very good and very large. The Salad she mixed and served on cold plates it was so good. When our Steaks came out, they looked amazing. Both are steaks were done perfect and they were so good. We could practically cut them with a butter knife they were that tender. Our side of Mashed Potatoes and the Sweet Potato was also very good. All our food was hot and flavorful. Brenda kept checking on us to make sure everything was perfect even a manager stopped by and asked us how the food was. Our food was some of the best we had in this area in fact the entire experience was one of the best yet. Special thanks out to Brenda for such excellent service and the good vibe of this place. They do run Specials everyday on food and drinks you just have to check. I must give this place 5 out of 5 stars because of the great experience we had there. Our server Pulkit was the very best! He really cares about making sure you have a good dining experience. I wish everywhere I went there could be servers like him. Makes you want to keep going back. Thank you Pulkit! You are awesome!

Pulkit was our server at lunch today. He was very attentive and polite. Our food was delicious. We had hot buffalo shrimp, onion rings, coconut shrimp, and black beans/rice. The rolls were warm and cinnamon butter delicious. We took home a monster piece of carrot cake to celebrate our anniversary. YUM!

We had dinner here for a birthday. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. I had the ribeye steak. It was seasoned well, tasted great, and cook exactly to my liking. They have excellent rolls with a tasty cinnamon butter. The atmosphere is fun.

Not really what I expected. The first booth we were seated at, the bench seats were repaired with tape and so worn down I felt like I needed a kids booster chair. They had no problem moving us to a somewhat better booth. However, the light over the table was so bright we were sweating so we had our waiter unscrew the bulb. You have to really like the people you go with since you're literally playing footsie with them the entire time you're sitting in the booth....but you're also stepping on their feet if you have to get up for any reason.
